Conceptual designs of a “health hub,” an emerging healthcare facility concept that emphasizes illness prevention as well as treatment, were unveiled recently by Texas A&M environmental design students at public events in Dallas and on campus.

Enabled by virtual reality technology, visitors to the recent Bluebonnet Festival in Chappell Hill, Texas explored a historic Texas building demolished more than a century ago. The building was recreated as an immersive virtual model by Siva Ramadoss, a Master of Construction Management student.

Humanity’s multilayered relationship with the sun will be further explored by visual artist Krista Steinke, instructional assistant professor of visualization, with a $7,500 grant from the Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts at Texas A&M University.
