Viz prof's study introducing students to STEM fields

Editor’s note: The Eagle newspaper's Aimee Breaux reported on a National Science Foundation-funded study whose participants, minority children at Bryan’s Neal Elementary School, conduct hands-on projects aimed at sparking the students’ interest in science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM, fields.

The study's principal investigator Francis Quek, a professor of [visualization] (http://viz.arch.tamu.edu) at Texas A&M University, and Neal educators recently joined the students as they demonstrated their emerging technical prowess to representatives from the Texas State Board of Education.
