Architect leads tour highlighting renovations to Austin Arthouse

Paul Lewis, principal of [LTL Architects] (http://www.ltlwork.net) , showed his firm’s award-winning expansion and renovation of the Arthouse at the Jones Center in Austin to design professors at Texas A&M’s College of Architecture.

Arthouse, a nonprofit visual arts organization, is Texas’ only statewide visual arts organization dedicated entirely to contemporary art.

Lewis was in Texas for his appearance at last fall’s Texas A&M’s Architecture Lecture Series.

“Touring the Arthouse with the architect and capturing the event on video was a chance to share some of Lewis' insights about the project with a much broader public,” said Peter Lang, associate professor of architecture.

Lewis has received awards from the Architectural League of New York, the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum and the American Academy in Rome for his work, and was recognized as part of “The New Vanguard” by Architectural Record.

In addition to his recent work in Austin, Lewis’ projects include Bornhuetter Hall at The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, NYU's Department of Social and Cultural Analysis, the Buffet at The City Center in Las Vegas, Fluff Bakery, Xing Restaurant and Tides Restaurant in New York City.
