If placing a penny on the Sul Ross statue at Texas A&M brings [good luck] (http://www.tamu.edu/about/attractions/sulRossStatue.html) on tests, three visualization students whose experimental typography project at the statue that included 13,496 pennies should do just fine on their remaining test days.
Viz seniors Lauren Costin of Aubrey, Tara Gerke of League City, and Jessica Powell of Clear Lake used the donated pennies to spell out the word “procrastination,” an admittedly imprudent, but prevalent student vice, at the statue’s base using the [Leitura Display Swashes] (http://www.fonts.com/font/dstype-foundry/leitura/display-swashes) typeface.
The experimental typography project was part of a senior graphic design studio led by Donna Hajash, senior lecturer in the Department of Visualization.

The pennies were eventually donated to the [Boys and Girls Club of the Brazos Valley] (http://www.bgcbv.org) .
