Bryan charter school students tour visualization department

Students attending a local charter school that incorporates technology in its curriculum got a full dose of tech during a field trip to Texas A&M’s [Department of Visualization] (http://viz.arch.tamu.edu) last fall.

The visitors, students in grades 5-12 from the [Brazos School for Inquiry & Creativity] (http://www.thebrazosschool.org) , a Bryan charter school, played games created by undergraduate students in a class led by Terry Larsen, associate professor of visualization.

The young students, accompanied by school faculty and their principal, Chris Osgood, also watched a survey of viz students’ graduate and undergraduate work presented by Glen Vigus, visualization lecturer.

Visualization faculty and Osgood also discussed possible future collaborations between the two schools’ students.
