Vizzers showcase fall projects

A semester-culminating exhibit showcased the work of Texas A&M University's first cadre of [Master of Fine Arts] (http://one.arch.tamu.edu/news/2012/8/7/viz-mfa-programm/) visualization students.

Jose “Weecho” Velasquez and Talie Pittman were the program’s first two students to receive degrees; their [final projects] (http://one.arch.tamu.edu/news/2012/11/29/mfa-grads/) were on display earlier in the fall semester.

The technology-infused degree program incorporates critical fields of science, engineering and math in coursework including the practice of digital art and design, time-based media, interactive environments, physical computing and contemporary art theory and criticism.

Exhibit showcases undergrad Viz students' projects

Art and time-based projects completed this fall by [undergraduate] (http://viz.arch.tamu.edu/undergraduate/bachelor-science/) visualization students at Texas A&M were exhibited in the Langford B Exhibit Hall and screened in the Preston Geren Auditorium in the Department of Visualization's annual undergraduate fall show.

The undergraduate visualization program is structured to develop the student's artistic, scientific and technical abilities and provide a specialized skill set for creating visual experiences based upon a synthesis of interdisciplinary knowledge.
